Quick and easy dairy free Peppercorn Ranch dressing. A version of the steakhouse classic we all love! Serve over crisp lettuce for a delicious salad!
Once upon a time I used to go out to dinner all the time. Like four or more times a week. This was mostly when I lived in New York City and Philadelphia and honestly, it was pretty awesome. I miss it but it is not my reality anymore for a gazillion reasons including having two little kids and actually thinking about money.
When I crave something from a restaurant, 8 out of 10 times, I make it at home and try to introduce my kids to the new dish and flavor profile. This Creamy Peppercorn Ranch dressing is a relic from my restaurant days. It reminds me of one of my favorite steakhouses in New York City and is total comfort food.
Except that my version is 100% Dairy Free and junk free. Most Peppercorn Ranch dressings are loaded with Parmesan cheese and milk. I tweaked this until I got close to the dressing flavor I remember but without any cheese.
TIP: If you do eat dairy, add a couple of tablespoons of grated Parmesan and reduce the salt by half.
You can serve this dressing over any crisp lettuce or even as a dip or drizzled over a baked potato or some fish. Any way you use it, I guarantee you are going to love it!

This recipe is not dairy free since it contains eggs. I’m allergic to dairy, eggs are included. I hope I can figure out how to replace the eggs. Thank you.

Hi Laurie,
Eggs are not “dairy”. They are poultry as they come from chickens and not cows or goats (like milk, cheese, butter, yogurt). Egg and dairy allergies are different although some people do have allergies to both! If you figure out how to replace the egg, I’d love to hear about it!

Hi Alyssa,
I loved your reply. As an allergic person I can eat eggs not diary, milk, nuts, soy, and etc. We all have different combinations.

We went through a period when we ate out about as much as you did, then we virtually stopped — went from multiple times a week to a few times a year. Just got tired of it. We’re eating out more now (it helps that we’re within a 30 minute walk of dozens of great restaurants), but cooking at home is still our fave. Anyway, great looking dressing — such nice flavor. Thanks.
