This sugar-free and vegan Citrus Green Smoothie is the perfect way to start the day. Loaded with a generous helping of fresh greens and infused with oranges and walnuts.
We love smoothies year-round, but I have to tell you – I have come to enjoying winter smoothies much more than warm weather smoothies. This probably sounds totally backwards right?
I think it has to do with the fact that in the warmer months, fresh produce of all varieties are abundant and we are constantly eating salads, raw veggies and lightly cooked veggies. In the winter, there are not as many choices and while I do have the occasional salad, I tend to go for warm foods and cooked vegetables when it’s cold out.
A fresh green smoothie in the winter is like a blast of raw veggies and that’s what I love the most about it. I think you are going to really dig this easy smoothie recipe!

I’m so the same way about winter smoothies! I’ve had one like every day this week. But they all have to be green, or else I just feel like I’m drinking dessert. This one totally fits the bill of what I want so I think I’ll make it tomorrow! Thanks for sharing 🙂

This smoothie sounds so healthy and refreshing! I could really use a couple of Daisey Fresh filters because nothing is more disappointing then going grab some greens from the fridge, only find that they’ve started to rot.
EverydayMaven says
Right? The filters really make a difference – I love them!
