This sugar-free and vegan Citrus Green Smoothie is the perfect way to start the day. Loaded with a generous helping of fresh greens and infused with oranges and walnuts.
We love smoothies year-round, but I have to tell you – I have come to enjoying winter smoothies much more than warm weather smoothies. This probably sounds totally backwards right?
I think it has to do with the fact that in the warmer months, fresh produce of all varieties are abundant and we are constantly eating salads, raw veggies and lightly cooked veggies. In the winter, there are not as many choices and while I do have the occasional salad, I tend to go for warm foods and cooked vegetables when it’s cold out.
AÂ fresh green smoothie in the winter is like a blast of raw veggies and that’s what I love the most about it. I think you are going to really dig this easy smoothie recipe!

These fresh filters sound amazing, I work really hard at not wasting produce but it’s difficult when you recipe test a lot! Also really like the walnuts in this smoothie for getting in those healthy fats!
