I am sure you noticed my (not so) elegant play on words in an attempt to conceal that this is yet another green smoothie. I hedged that a swanky title would entice you guys!
Well, the thing is, this smoothie tastes awesome and much more like a fresh berry with a hint of coconut smoothie than a green monster, chug-it-because-it’s-good-for-you smoothie.
You guys probably realized by now that I am all about our food being good for us but that is definitely not enough; it also has to taste great and this smoothie answers the call.
The spinach is in there and you get all the benefits of its lovely raw self but you can’t taste it. At all. Yes, it takes over and turns this drink green but trust me, it’s invisible otherwise.
This is as easy as it gets. Only a handful of ingredients and a regular old blender will make this in seconds.

I absolutely love this! I didn’t have any spinach on hand so I used Swiss chard instead. I also did not add any sweetener and it was delicious! Definately a keeper.
EverydayMaven says
Chard is such a good green for smoothies – so glad it worked out!
Jeszie says
MMM.. that smoothie looks rlly delicious, especially if really doesn’t like aspinach at all.
What is a stevia? I live in Indonesia, and I have never heard of it at all. is it some sort of flavouring?
EverydayMaven says
Thank you Jeszie! Stevia a natural sweetener made from a plant. Here is a link to a commonly found brand here. If you can’t find it or order it online, I suggest adding just 2 teaspoons of pure honey and adding more to taste if you need it.

This looks awesome. I love kale or spinach in a smoothie…and I have everything to make this one! I’m feeling breakfast tomorrow morning… 😉

I agree that adding berries and banana to green smoothies totally disguises the taste….yummy!!

Definitely a beautiful and delicious smoothie! It’s funny, people don’t usually believe me when I tell them that you usually can’t taste the veggies in a smoothie until they try it for themselves and then they’re converted, lol! If they can get past the color, they love it.
EverydayMaven says
Some people have a really hard time getting past the color – they see green and run lol!
