The Skinniest of all Skinny Margaritas. Totally free of sugar, low carb and mixed together in just a couple minutes!
Last night I mixed this store-bought limeade (that is organic, all natural and 0 calories, 0 carbs and 0 sugars – what!?) with some good Tequila, a ton of ice and a squeeze of fresh lime. When I took the first sip, I was like, “Whoa! This tastes more like a margarita than any of the low cal versions I’ve tried!”
So, I immediately shared about it on Instagram and Facebook because I clearly couldn’t keep it to myself.
I figured that would be it but I got so many messages and comments about this easy little Low Carb and Sugar Free Super Skinny Margarita that I promptly asked my husband to run to Whole Foods (on Super Bowl Sunday no less) and pick me up some more of the Limeade so I could make more, take some photos and share it with you today.
This is super freaking good. It’s ridiculous. And easy. And will quickly become your go-to margarita. The only catch is – you need to find this Bragg’s Organic Apple Cider Vinegar Limeade drink.
I know, I know. It’s probably not available everywhere and as an FYI, here in Seattle, I buy it at either Whole Foods Market or PCC Natural Market.
The good news is you can totally order some online or take a close look at the label and play with the ratios until you recreate your own.
There is something perfect about the combo that tastes like a damn good margarita. Just the right mix of sour (from lime and apple cider vinegar) and a touch of sweet (from stevia).

How did you know that ACV was gonna do that? Just happened across this on Pinterest and figured I’d give it a try. I love a good, strong Margarita so I thought the 8-to-1 ACV Limeade to tequila wasn’t gonna work for me. But I took Kristen’s advice on making the limeade with what I had: ACV, Monkfruit sweetener, and fresh limes then my tequila pour. It was awesome almost creamy but also crisp; unlike the taste you get from pre-made mixes. I drank it so fast trying to get my brain to understand how ACV could become this wonderful elixir from the gods. So of course, I had to make another. Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome Erica! It was born out of desperation lol! 🙂
Would just love to try this drink as it looks so nice and I’ve never tried it.
Hope you love it Diane!
Hi!! Why does the nutrition label on this website say 29 carbs and 26 sugars? Shouldn’t it be zero?
Hey Addy! I just fixed it. My recipes are in the process of being updated and it was a glitch. There are some calories but it’s from the Tequila!
The ACV taste was a bit much for me but I added an oz of elderflower liquor and it tamed the overwhelming taste. While I didn’t find this to be a “knock your socks off” it’s a good low cal option.
I hear you! I think it can go either way 🙂
I was so excited when I read this recipe and even more excited when I found the limeade at my local grocer. I am a fan of Bragg’s ACV but unfortunately this recipe was not a winner in my opinion. The ACV smell and taste were overwhelming and I couldn’t get passed it. The search continues…
I just made a batch of homemade limeade using 10 limes, 1/4 cup of stevia and 1/4 cup of ACV, and 1 cup of distilled water. When mixing add 2 oz limeade mix, 1 oz tequila and about 3 oz of Lime Perrier. This is definitely a game changer! Skinny Rita’s all around for Fathers Day!!
Wooooooot!!! I love it – need to try your recipe Kirsten!
Think I will try Kristin way but, leave out the ACV. Due to my acid reflux.
ACV helps acid reflux!
I am not seeing stevia in the recipe 🤔
Hi Aimee – it’s in the Bragg’s!
Would this kill your gut if you drank several? I don’t drink very often, but when I do, I usually have several. I’m hopeful we’ll have a summer here in Wisconsin even though ice crystals are currently hitting my window in the middle of April. I love margaritas in the summer, but I’m also doing keto way of eating now.
I’ve had 2 or 3 at once and never had a problem 😉
I’d love to formulate a recipe for the limeade. It would be perfect to find a way to make it. ❤️ Thanks for the recipe.
YES! I’ve been thinking about attempting it when the weather warms up 🙂
Hi there, can you explain how the recipe is sugar free when the limeade has 13 grams of sugar in 8oz? Sorry I’m new to all this and want to understand. Thanks!
read the back of the bottle!
Hi Tasha,
Where are you seeing added sugar? Here is a link to the Limeade — http://bragg.com/products/bragg-organic-apple-cider-vinegar-drink-limeaid.html
I tried yesterday using exact same ingredients listed on Braggs’ Limeade bottle. I used
a little too much apple cider vinegar and needed a lot more stevia than I thought
but it is mostly water so making a smaller portion to begin tasting …
I would start with 5/2/1 – water, lime juice, ACV and add stevia to taste. If you like
a little carbonation, I added a splash of Lemon-Lime Zevia soda (in San Diego it’s
available at Sprouts) to my second margarita and it was very good but then again
it WAS my second marg ….
Which WH did you find it at? I’m st WH in Interbay in Seattle and only see the Ginger Spice one and the Apple Cider Vinegar & Honey ones… Woild love to make this for a Cinco de Mayo themed dinner on Wednesday night.
Thanks,
Teresa.
They change stock all the time! I would call our area WF and PCC and ask them to check before you run around. Another option is Amazon. I hope it works out for your dinner Teresa!
I just made this and am very impressed, it’s delicious! I’ll be submitting in the next margarita wars I have with friends!
Hey Heather! Yay – I love it. Now that warm weather is coming – I need to order a case (or more) of the Bragg’s to be stocked up and ready. Hope your friends love this drink too 🙂
This cocktail is quite literally a game changer. Like you said it tastes like a damn good margarita – not fake or “diety” just damn good. I have tried other Skinny margaritas you can buy, but am not a fan of the chemicals used – not only is this margarita chemical free – it takes far better. I sprinkled a touch of kosher salt on top as well and it was delish. I think I need to have LuckyVitamin auto-ship me cases of Limeade all spring/summer long. Thank you, thank you for this wonderful recipe!!!
Hi Terri! Thank you so much for the feedback! I am going to add your comment to my testimonials 🙂 Cheers!!
The WF I go to in Ann Arbor does not carry the limeade flavor of Braggs, and it is $9 a bottle on Amazon!!!
Ugh Jackie! 🙁 I would ask them to carry it. They are usually great about that. $9 is insane.
I just found it online for $2.53 at

So not a huge fan of the limeade. Does the tequila help? I know, tequila helps everything but I mean the tartness lol
Hey Charlene! It’s supposed to be tart with just a little sweetness! Tequila does help 😉 but you could also try adding just a smidge more stevia?
Just what I’ve been looking for! Thank you for sharing this little “treasure” of a recipe! I wish bartenders stocked Bragg’s limeade. ?
You are welcome Cathy!! It is my favorite cocktail right now. I also wish that bartenders stocked Bragg’s — maybe we should start traveling with a bottle or two in our bags 😉
Oh, my! Took awhile to find the limeade. Sipping one now! I’m extremely picky about my ‘Rita’s! These are a keeper!
So glad you found it June!! 🙂
This margarita is delish the braggs limeade is surprisingly good . I thought it would be hard to find but I saw it at Publix and remembered this post using it…sooo good my new favorite cocktail as well thanks so much and I really enjoy your blog!
Yay!!! So glad you love it. Thanks for the kind words about my site 🙂
This is a nice post and I really liked the skinny margarita concept.. Thanks for sharing it..
Hi Tina – thanks! Hope you love it 🙂
Amazing! Tastes wonderful. Thank you for this recipe!
Yay – you found the Limeade!!! This is my fav cocktail right now. Enjoy Ronda!
I for one, am disappointed because I though my I was the one to discover this amazing product!! I personally love it alone or mixed with tequila. I drink a lot of Kombucha tho and can see why some can’t get past the vinegar. A couple of thoughts: Either dilute with a bit of Fresca (which tastes a bit like margarita to begin with and has no calories) or if you like spice as we do here in Houston, soak a fresh jalapeño slice in the drink and sprinkle with a bit of salt. It will mask the vinegar taste in the drink and give it a zing.
Ha! I hear you Laura – it’s so good. Those are great tips!
I was just at WF today, saw Bragg’s while looking for a sparkling water, thought, “What on earth?”, then came home, googled a recipe for slow cooker sausage and peppers, found your site (am currently cooking your fabulous smelling sausage, onions and peppers recipe), and see this recipe using the Bragg’s It’s like a word you just learned showing up repeatedly. Kismet? Serendipity? I will certainly be returning to your site frequently.
I 10000% believe in Kismet. Welcome Nikki 🙂
