You only need 5-ingredients to make this easy and tasty Apple Nachos recipe that the whole family will love! Naturally gluten-free, easily customizable and ready in 5 minutes. Recipe created in partnership with Bob’s Red Mill.

Now that our kids are all back to school (can I get a collective Hallelujah or what!?), it’s time to double down on after-school snacks. If your house is anything like mine, there are VERY hungry little people coming through the door in the late afternoon.

Quick, easy and tasty snacks that require little to no work are an after-school necessity and my apple nachos are the perfect answer! Made with just a handful of easy to find ingredients that you probably already have in your house, these literally take 5 minutes to make!

INGREDIENTS TO MAKE APPLE NACHOS

  1. Apples
  2. Nut Butter of Choice
  3. Pure Maple Syrup
  4. Chocolate Chips
  5. Bob’s Red Mill Pan Baked Granola (I used the Maple Sea Salt)

HOW TO MAKE APPLE NACHOS

When I said easy, I meant it! Grab a plate and slice up your apples. I used Fuji apples but you can use any type of apple that tastes good enough to take a bite out of. (Picture #1)

TIP: If you are making this a little in advance, you can toss the sliced apples with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to prevent browning.

Pour nut butter into a microwave-safe cup and microwave for 30 seconds. Mix with Maple syrup until well combined.

TIP: If you are using almond butter or another very thick nut butter, you may want to add 1 tsp of virgin coconut oil (before microwaving) to help loosen it for drizzling.

Drizzle nut butter and Maple syrup mixture over sliced apples. (Picture #2)

Sprinkle chocolate chips (Picture #3) and finally top with Bob’s Red Mill Pan-Baked Granola (Picture #4).

That’s it. It’s really that easy. And, kids love to participate in the drizzling and designing (as my youngest calls it). I can’t wait to hear what you think!
