This Freeze Dried Fruit Snack Mix is perfect for snack time! Loaded with nutrients and a variety of textures, kids and adults alike will love it! Made in partnership with Homegrown Organic Farms featuring their organic freeze dried blueberries and apples.
If you have little kids like me, then you know that there are certain foods that are pretty much always a win. Let’s start with freeze dried fruit. My kids are obsessed and can easily down an entire package each in mere minutes.
Not necessarily the worst thing in the world, especially if you are buying high-quality, organic, freeze dried fruit but truth be told, it gets expensive fast!
When Homegrown Organic Farms reached out to me to try their new freeze dried fruits (they have Organic Blueberry, Apple and Grape), I obviously said YES right away.
I knew my kids would seriously freak out over a box of organic freeze dried fruits getting delivered and was really excited about trying their products. Not only are they USDA certified organic, Certified R.A.W., and Non-GMO Project Verified, but they are American grown and American made.
Over the years, I’ve come up with creative way to make freeze dried fruit go further and this Freeze Dried Fruit Snack Mix is one of my boys (and their friends!) favorite mixes.
Sometimes I’ll add in a 1/4 cup of nuts or seeds but it’s totally optional. If you are making this mix for a class party or upcoming Halloween party at school, I recommend you omit the nuts as they are a common allergen.
I used the Homegrown Organic Farms Organic Freeze Dried Blueberries and Apples and mixed them with organic O’s, goji berries, some dairy-free dark chocolate chips and (optional) cashew pieces.

Store in an air-tight GLASS storage container to prevent freeze dried fruit from losing their crunch.
This mix is best stored in an air-tight glass canister to maintain the crunch and crispiness of the freeze dried fruit.
I have also found that small stainless steel containers work if they are dry and have silicone lids.
The small plastic party bags (like shown in the photos) are great for 24 to 48 hours.
