A contest? Yep, and a good one!
I have been talking to the good people at GrubKit over the last few weeks; I really like their concept and how GrubKit makes it so easy to introduce new cuisines and ingredients to anyone!
Everyday Maven and GrubKit are exploring creating a Kit together and after going back and forth for a bit on what could or should be in that box, we decided the best way to find out was to ask you!
One winner will be randomly selected from the commenters on this post.
All you have to do is comment on this post by January 20th and tell us what Everyday Maven dish you would like to see as a GrubKit!
So, let’s talk about what a GrubKit is.
A Grubkit is an eco-friendly packaged box of pre-measured, non-perishable recipe ingredients accompanied by easy-to-follow cooking instructions that will help you pull together a fabulous meal in no time.
Sounds easy right?
It is, and perfect for a monthly date night, a new way to try different cuisines or new-to-you ingredients and an awesome gift.
Another thing I love about GrubKit is that ingredients are organic whenever possible and always of the highest quality, which is something that really matters to me and you.

What an awesome idea! Making it easy to try different spices/ingredients/etc.
As far as what Everyday Maven dish I would like to see… maybe something with dried mushrooms? I’ve never cooked with those before, and it seems like you could come up with something really clever and tasty with that ingredient.
I’d love to see your vegetarian hot and sour soup in a grub kit!

As a member of the chickpea appreciation society and a fan of za’atar, I would love to try the chickpea stew with bulgar and za’atar.

My current love is your recipe for Punjabi Style Cabbage * Chickpeas so I guess a kit with all the spices and beans would be my pick.

Chana Dal with Spinach Soup!!
Moroccan Tagine & Saffron Couscous because Indian food tends to be a bit intimidating!
I love trying different types of cooking. I’m interested in the Morracan Taginie.

I would love to see the “Full until Lunch Muesli” in a grub kit! I might try it then. There are too many ingredients that I usually don’t keep in my cupboard, like rye flakes & oat covered date pieces. Looks yummy though!
I made your Beef Chow Fun and loved it so I think that would be a terrific GrubKit. Love the whole concept!

Chickpea curry with mango powder
Hi Susan – You are the winner of the GrubKit. Look for an email in your inbox!
Thank you everyone for commenting and for your fantastic ideas!!!
I have had such a hard time finding millet lol that id like to see your vegan chili will millet in a grub kit. I bet other folks have had a hard time finding it too and the grub kit could make it easy for folks to try millet and a vegan recipe when both may be new concepts to them.
I hope I win! Thanks for the opportunity to try!

Can ya tell I want the kit?

Hmmm so many options not enough room.
Thanks.

The Moroccan Tagine and Saffron Coucous is my pick. They all look so yummy it was hard to pick! Thanks for the opportunity.
What an innovative idea. First time I’ve heard of GrubKit. My choice for a new GrubKit would be the Moroccan Tangine and Saffron Couscous. What a great way to try a dish you normally would not, because you don’t have all the spices. This way, you get to try it before you make an investment in a quantity of spice (and other ingredients, like dried fruit, etc.) that you don’t normally use.
How about your slow cooker curried chicken. I follow you on fb and I subscribe via email.
I vote for your Winter Chai Tea; aseptic pkgs of almond milk; spice balls.:)
Mushroom barley sooup with kale would be an awesome grub kit!
I follow you on fb

Chow Fun noodles and black beans are hard to find so those are items that would be great to receive in a Grub Kit! You have wonderful recipes and it makes following Weight Watchers much easier and lots more fun!!
Chickpea Stew with Bulgur + Za’atar
How about a Yellow Curry kit? Yumm!
For me it’s a toss-up, I love, love, LOVE garbanzo beans, so either the chickpea stew with bulgar and za’atar or the chickpea and Punjabi style cabbage.
How about the vegan red bean chili with millett? Either that or a collection of a few cookies/biscotti =)!
